TOBACCO CESSATION PROGRAM

This program offers education and medication to assist patients in quitting tobacco products.EDUCATION INCLUDES:

  • Information about nicotine withdrawal - what to expect and how to cope
  • How to set realistic goals
  • How to deal with relapse
  • Information about nicotine replacement therapy and other medication options
Prescriptions for tobacco cessation products will be provided when appropriate.

Clinical pharmacists are available Monday thru Friday from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.Tobacco cessation programs and the medications associated with them may be covered by insurance. Please contact your benefits office or insurance company to determine if this program is a covered benefit.

HOW TO ENROLL:
  • A physician referral is required - call your physician directly or Clinic Pharmacy Consultants at 828-2891 for assistance
  • Appointments are made through the BMC appointment desk at 828-2880
  • Program consists of a minimum of 4 education sessions as well as medication when appropriate
