This program offers education and medication to assist patients in quitting tobacco products.EDUCATION INCLUDES:
Information about nicotine withdrawal - what to expect and how to cope
How to set realistic goals
How to deal with relapse
Information about nicotine replacement therapy and other medication options
Prescriptions for tobacco cessation products will be provided when appropriate.
Clinical pharmacists are available Monday thru Friday from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.Tobacco cessation programs and the medications associated with them may be covered by insurance. Please contact your benefits office or insurance company to determine if this program is a covered benefit.
HOW TO ENROLL:
A physician referral is required - call your physician directly or Clinic Pharmacy Consultants at 828-2891 for assistance
Appointments are made through the BMC appointment desk at 828-2880
Program consists of a minimum of 4 education sessions as well as medication when appropriate
